The Central Government has launched the ‘Mera Ration’ mobile application for One Nation-One Ration Card beneficiaries. The One Nation One Ration Card system is an important citizen-centric reform. The application is currently available in English and Hindi. More functions will be added to the app in the coming days. The app will also be available in 14 languages soon. Beneficiaries will be able to easily get their ration from any government ration shop with the help of My Ration application.
This application will be especially beneficial for those who are migrating from their home to another place for livelihood. The implementation of the One Nation-One Ration Card system ensures the availability of rations at fair price shops (FPS) anywhere in the country for the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other welfare schemes, especially for migrant workers and their families.
Regarding the app, Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey said the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme was initially launched in four states in August 2019 and implemented in 32 states and Union Territories in a very short time by December 2020. It is expected to be implemented in Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and West Bengal and Union Territories in the next few months. 81 crore people will benefit

Beneficiaries will be able to log in to My Ration Mobile application through Aadhaar or Ration Card number. The government supplies 5 kg of subsidized rations to each person through 5.4 lakh ration shops.
